SunLight Studio Terms of Use
1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use (hereinafter — the Terms) determine the manner in which the services of SunLight solarium studio (hereinafter — Studio) are provided and used, as well as the use of the website sunlightstudio.lv.
1.2. By using the Studio's services, the client confirms that he is familiar with these Terms and Conditions and accepts them.
1.3. The Studio has the right to amend the Terms at any time by publishing the updated version on the website. Amendments shall enter into force from the moment of their publication.
2. Description of services
2.1. The studio offers tanning services, as well as products and consultations related to tanning.
2.2. Services are provided only to persons who have reached the age of 18, in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 13.
2.3. The studio uses certified equipment, which is regularly assembled and whose lamps are replaced in accordance with the service life specified by the manufacturer (usually 800-1000 operating hours).
2.4. The studio provides customers with information about the risks of ultraviolet radiation and the basic principles of safe tanning.
3. Procedure for visiting and using the solarium
3.1. Before the first visit to the solarium, the client must fill out a consumer questionnaire, which indicates the phototype of the skin, the state of health and possible risk factors.
3.2. The consumer questionnaire is valid for 6 months; after the expiration of this period, it must be renewed.
3.3. The tanning salon provider may refuse the service if it detects health risks or if the information provided by the customer indicates an intolerance to ultraviolet radiation.
3.4. The Client undertakes:
adhere to the prescribed duration of the session and the instructions for use of the equipment;
use safety glasses (provided by the studio or the client himself);
not to visit the solarium under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
follow the instructions and safety requirements of the Studio staff.
3.5. The studio reserves the right to refuse the provision of services if the client does not comply with these Terms or endangers his own safety and that of others.
3.6. Between two visits to the solarium there must be a break of at least 48 hours, in accordance with paragraph 14 of Cabinet Regulation No. 13 “Requirements for the provision of a cosmetic tanning service”.
3.7. The client undertakes to comply with this break in order to prevent the risk of skin burns and overdose of ultraviolet radiation.
4. Health and Safety Warnings
4.1. Ultraviolet radiation can cause damage to the skin and eyes if safety rules are not followed.
4.2. The use of a solarium is not recommended for:
persons with skin diseases, pigmentation disorders or the risk of skin cancer;
people taking medicines that increase sensitivity to UV radiation (e.g. antibiotics, hormone preparations, etc.) ;
for pregnant women;
persons with very light or sensitive skin.
4.3. The client is fully responsible for his state of health and the appropriateness of using the solarium.
4.4. The studio is not responsible for health disorders that have occurred if the client did not follow the safety recommendations or provided false information in the questionnaire.
5. Payment and reservations
5.1. Services are paid before the start of the session in cash, by payment card or online (if such an opportunity is available).
5.2. Reservations can be made by phone or on site at the Studio.
5.3. The studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the reservation due to technical reasons or force majeure circumstances.
6. SunLight customer and gift cards
6.1. SunLight customer and gift cards (hereinafter — Card) are issued to a specific customer and are personal.
6.2. The card is not transferable to other persons.
6.3. The validity period of the card is 12 months from the date of purchase or activation.
6.4. The balance and validity period of the card can be clarified in the Studio or by writing to sunlightriga@gmail.lv
6.5. The card is not exchangeable for money and can only be used to pay for the services of the solarium.
6.6. In case of loss, the client shall immediately inform the Studio by e-mail or telephone. The card is blocked on the same or the next working day.
6.7. Upon written submission of the customer, the Studio may transfer unused balance to a new card, subject to a fee of 4.00 EUR.
6.8. If the customer has not notified the loss of the card in time, the Studio assumes no responsibility for its use at the disposal of third parties.
6.9. The studio reserves the right to change the conditions of use of the card by publishing the current information on the website at least 10 days before the changes take effect.
7. Responsibility
7.1. The Client is responsible for any damage caused to the Studio's property or equipment as a result of his actions.
7.2. The studio assumes no responsibility for:
a health disorder of the client that has arisen without complying with the Regulations or the doctor's recommendations;
loss or damage of personal property in the Studio premises.
7.3. About forgotten belongings:
The studio is not responsible for forgotten personal belongings of customers and is not obliged to search or return them.
If, after visiting the client, the Studio administrator finds forgotten private belongings (including jewelry), the Studio will try to contact the owner and, if possible, return the belongings.
In order to receive back the found items, the customer must describe:
in which particular solarium cabin they are forgotten;
the date and approximate time of the visit;
description of forgotten items (colour, size, material, etc.).
7.4. The studio ensures regular maintenance of equipment, replacement of lamps and compliance with hygiene requirements in accordance with MK Regulation No. 13 and manufacturers' instructions.
8. Protection of personal data
8.1. The studio processes clients' personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
8.2. The purpose of data processing is the provision of services, customer records, booking management and, if the customer has given consent, providing information about promotions and special offers.
8.3. Personal data shall not be disclosed to third parties, with the exception of data processors authorised by the Studio (e.g. payment or IT system operators).
8.4. The customer has the right to access his data, correct it or request deletion by writing to the e-mail: sunlightriga@gmail.lv

9. Customer complaints and dispute resolution
9.1. In case of questions, proposals or complaints, the client can contact the Studio by e-mail sunlightriga@gmail.lv
9.2. The studio considers complaints within 10 working days of receiving them.
9.3. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the customer may apply to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) or to court in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
9.4. The studio cooperates with PTAC and follows its instructions in resolving disputes.
10. Closing rules
10.1. These Terms are binding on all Studio clients and users of the sunlightstudio.lv website.
10.2. If any of the clauses of the Rules becomes invalid, the remaining clauses remain in force.
10.3. The name of the studio, the logo and the content of the website are protected by copyright.
10.4. Issues not provided for in these Terms shall be dealt with in accordance with the current laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
