How to sunbathe correctly?

Sunbathing in a solarium can give a beautiful, even tan, if done correctly and responsibly. Here are some important tips that will help you get great results and keep your skin healthy.

1. Determine your skin type

Before the first session, find out your skin type — this will help you determine the right time for tanning. For fair and sensitive skin, it is recommended to start with shorter sessions.

2. Scrubs the skin

The day before or on the day of visiting the solarium, scrub the skin with a gentle scrub to cleanse it of dead skin cells. On cleansed skin, the tan is formed faster and more evenly.

3. Use special tanning cosmetics

Creams for tanning help to get a more even tan, moisturize the skin, help the tan last longer and protect it from dryness. Ordinary sun creams are not suitable for a solarium.

4. Protects the eyes

Protective glasses are mandatory at every session - they protect the eyes from the harmful effects of UV rays.

5. Removes makeup and perfume

Before going to the solarium, remove decorative cosmetics and do not use perfumes - UV rays can cause skin irritation or uneven tanning.

6. Removes jewelry

Before sunbathing, do not forget to remove the jewelry, so you will avoid possible allergic reactions and ugly stripes

7. Adheres to the appropriate length of the session

Do not lie down longer than recommended by a specialist. As a rule, the duration of the session is 5—15 minutes, depending on the type of skin and the model of the solarium.

8. Sunbathe with breaks

To get a persistent and healthy tan, we recommend sunbathing 2-3 times a week, observing a break of at least 48 hours between sessions.

9. Refrain from showering after tanning

After visiting the solarium, refrain from washing for at least 3-4 hours. After the solarium, the cream still “works” on the skin and forms a tan.

10. Cope the skin after sunbathing

After the solarium, the skin continues to “work” and the tan forms, so it is important to moisturize it with an after-sun lotion or nourishing cream.

Remember:A moderate and prudent visit to the solarium ensures a beautiful tan, but excessive exposure to UV radiation can harm the skin. Listen to the experts and take care of your skin!
